Pack Walk Information:

I know you've already heard the exciting news — Pack Walks Season 2026 is happening! But I wanted to take a moment to dive a little deeper into WHY we do it the way we do — because once you understand the science and the nature behind our sequence, it just makes sense.

🐺 WHAT IS A PACK, REALLY?

In the wild, a dog's pack is its family — usually blood-related, moving through the world together. As the leader of that pack, it's the senior dog's role to call the time and motion for the group: when to migrate, when to hunt, when to play, when to eat, and when to rest. Every member of the pack follows that rhythm, and that rhythm is what keeps the group safe, calm, and connected.

In our homes, WE are that leader. Our dogs look to us to set that same rhythm — and when we don't, they feel ungrounded and unsure. Pack Walks are our way of stepping into that role together, as a community of handlers.

🧲 WHY THE SEQUENCE MATTERS

Every Pack Walk follows the same natural order, and it's not by accident. Here's what we do and why:

1. WORK FIRST — We begin in an open area, working our dogs around each other. This isn't just training — it's the equivalent of the pack shaking off the morning, orienting to one another, and finding their footing. It brings every dog (and handler!) into a calm, focused, natural mindset before we ever take a single step together.

2. THE MIGRATION (PACK WALK) — Once we're settled, we move. Together. This is the most instinctually satisfying thing a dog can do — migrate with its pack. Forward motion, side by side, with a clear leader setting the pace. No sniffing every fire hydrant, no pulling ahead, no lagging behind — just moving as one. For dogs who struggle with reactivity, anxiety, or social skills, this is deeply regulating. It speaks directly to who they are at their core.

3. HAND FEEDING & EATING TOGETHER — After the migration, we come back and share a meal together — handlers and dogs alike. Hand feeding is one of the most powerful bonding tools we have. It builds trust, deepens communication, and reinforces your role as provider and leader. Eating together as a pack mirrors exactly what happens after a successful hunt in the wild.

4. REST TOGETHER — Finally, we rest. The pack settles. Dogs decompress side by side. This is where the socialization truly sinks in. Your dog isn't just tolerating other dogs — they're resting with them. That's trust. That's family.

🤝 WHAT YOU'LL TAKE HOME

Every dog goes home relaxed, regulated, socialized, and better behaved. Every handler goes home with stronger communication, a deeper relationship with their dog, new friendships with other dog people, and real knowledge about how to lead their pack at home.

Along the way, you'll pick up skills, understand your dog on a whole new level, and become part of a community of people who genuinely get it.

🐾As soon as you become a member of the pack you get invited to a private facebook group where I will be posting a ton of support for all our pack members! How to videos, live events, give-aways and more! 🐾
